Apple shocks its employees with a sudden decision related to the use of ChatGPT chat bot! Apple restricts the use of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence tools
Apple has now decided to follow in the footsteps of Samsung, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and other major companies, in restricting the use of AI-powered chatbots such as ChatGPT, Bard and Bing among its workforce. The move is part of Apple’s efforts to prevent accidental leaks of confidential data and also coincides with its plans to build similar technology in-house.

According to a newspaper report Wall Street JournalApple also warned its employees not to use Microsoft’s Copilot, a piece of software that helps write program code. The decision comes amid concerns about how AI-powered chatbots, such as ChatGPT, handle user data.
These platforms have a combined user base in the hundreds of millions, and the way they use user data to train their AI has become a major concern.
Earlier this year, a bug was discovered in ChatGPT, allowing some users to see chat history addresses from other users. This prompted OpenAI, developer of the ChatGPT bot, to temporarily pull the service offline.

After these privacy issues, OpenAI has provided an option for users to disable chat history. Despite the move, companies like Apple are not convinced and have chosen to restrict the use of these chatbots.
Samsung also took a similar stance, banning its employees from using AI chatbots like ChatGPT after sharing the source code with the tool. The company is said to be developing its own AI tools and has instructed employees not to share any corporate or personal information with third-party chatbots.

It appears that Apple is developing an alternative to ChatGPT under the direction of former Google employee John Giannandrea, who is now Apple’s senior vice president.
This development was hinted at during Apple’s recent earnings monitor, where CEO Tim Cook expressed concern about developments in the field of generative AI, stressing the need for a careful and considered approach.
ChatGPT is now also available for iOS users in the US, allowing users to experience conversational AI at their fingertips.
