Xiaomi stops updates for these phones as of September, Xiaomi phones that will not get updates
Xiaomi brings us bad news again. Although this morning we replayed the latest wave of updates to MIUI 14, at the same time the company confirmed that starting in September many of its smartphones will no longer be part of the developer program.
The end of the Xiaomi Developer Program is a before and after for the affected devices. This means that they will only receive security updates that have already been developed, and therefore new functionality or options that have been added to them MIUI After September, these phones will no longer be available.
Xiaomi phones that will not get updates
Starting September 22, Xiaomi will end the beta program for many of its smartphones. Among these we find Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi 11 Pro and even Xiaomi 11 Ultra.
In addition, the Redmi K40S, i.e. POCO F4 for the global market, will cease to be part of the developer programme. The same thing happens with the Redmi Note 11T Pro (POCO X4 GT), as well as the Redmi Note 11T Pro + (Redmi K50i 5G).
At a global level, this means that affected devices will only receive security updates developed through the beta program until September 22. No other update developed later than this one will be published.
There is no doubt that devices like Xiaomi 11 or POCO F4 are still very fit to continue receiving new features, whether MIUI 15 or Android 14. Of course, these devices will continue to receive security patches and minor fixes until the end of their life and support cycle.
