Many of the smartphone OEMs have introduced their own approach to virtual RAM expansion, allowing low-memory phones to keep up with the ever-increasing demand from apps. This enhances the multitasking features and keeps multiple apps cached for faster launch times. And the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G now gets this feature with an update.
The OTA update is distributed to Chinese Unitz so far, and when enabled, the system allocates 2 GB of internal storage and adds it to RAM when needed. So depending on your memory configuration – either 6 or 8 GB, you get 8 GB or 10 GB of RAM efficiently.
The patch is small and it is only about the virtual RAM feature, which means that it is very possible that it will reach the global devices faster than later.
