A lot of rumors and details have surfaced about Samsung’s upcoming flagship Exynos 2400 processor, but it seems that Samsung is also working on a processor that is expected to be the Exynos 2300 as it has now appeared with a mysterious phone on GeekBench benchmarking platform.

Details of the new Samsung Exynos 2300 processor

According to the latest reports, the Exynos 2300 processor, packs an odd setup of 9 CPU cores, including one Cortex-X3 core, clocked at up to 3.09GHz, four Cortex-A715 cores, running at 2.65GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores with a maximum frequency of 2.1 GHz.

Now, a chip using a very similar 1+4+4 configuration in a mysterious Samsung device has surfaced on GeekBench, with model number SM-S919O. While the reported CPU frequencies do not match the expected frequencies, this is quite normal for pre-production devices.

The actual base configuration is more telling and refers to a currently unannounced chip, given that the Exynos 2200 uses a 1+3+4 configuration, while the Exynos 2400 is expected to bring a 1+2+3+4 configuration with Cortex-X4.

The latest leaks have confirmed that the Exynos 2300 processor will use a semi-design based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture for its GPU. This new processor is expected to appear inside the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE instead of the rumored Exynos 2200.
