On more than one occasion, we have commended Samsung for having the best software update policy, being the only company to guarantee at least four major OS updates for its midrange and flagship phones, and at least five years of security patches.
But time passes, and no matter how hard the company tries, at some point it has to leave behind some of its phones, no matter how popular they are.
With the arrival of Android 14 (Android 14) in a few months, the South Korean company will end the support period in terms of system updates for some of its most popular phones in recent years, including the Galaxy S20 series and the latest Galaxy Note series phones.
Samsung phones that will not get Android 14
Among the models that are part of the list, we can find the Galaxy S20 or Galaxy S20. The Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold2, two of the company’s first foldable smartphones, will also run out of Android 14.

Owners of any of these devices will not be able to enjoy the features of Android 14, but they will continue to receive security updates for a while, until the end of their support period is reached.
For Samsung phones that will receive the update to Android 14 with One UI 6, we can expect that all Galaxy A, Z, S, M and F series phones launched from 2021 will be able to update.
