Inc revealed Qualcomm On the date of the upcoming Snapdragon Tech Summit event. This is the event where the company unveils its flagship smartphone chipset every year. The company is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor that will power most of the high-end smartphones in 2024.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 release date for Galaxy S24 series
The Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023 will be held on October 24, 2023, in Maui, Hawaii. The event will conclude on October 26, 2023. It is expected that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will be unveiled during this event, will be used in some Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + and Galaxy S24 Ultra phones early next year.
Other high-end smartphones from Honor, iQOO, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sony, Vivo, and Xiaomi will also use this chipset.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will use ARM’s new Cortex-X4, Cortex-A720, and Cortex-A520 CPU cores.
According to previous leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will come with a 4nm process (N4P) from TSMC, which slightly improves the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (N4) manufacturing process.
The chipset will contain one Cortex-X4 CPU core, five Cortex-A720 cores, and two Cortex-A520 CPU cores. The Adreno 750 GPU is said to be much faster than the Adreno 740 GPU used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
