Later this year, Samsung is highly expected to officially introduce the Samsung One UI 6.0 update, built on Android 14, to the majority of its devices. The company is committed to ensuring that all compatible devices receive this update as quickly as possible. While some lucky users can expect to get the beta in August, similar to the One UI 5.0 rollout last year, the full release is expected to follow.
With the update, users can look forward to experiencing all the changes and improvements Google has introduced, including an updated common menu, improved gesture navigation, customization of language preferences within apps, and a host of new features on the lock and home screens, among other improvements.

Many exciting features are expected to arrive with Android 14. Both sooner than expected for select Samsung devices and gradually over time for other models.
The burning question on everyone’s mind is which Galaxy models will be the first to receive the Android 14 update. The initial recipients are likely to be the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. After that, the newer foldable devices, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, are expected to follow suit. Moreover, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which are scheduled to be unveiled in August, will also be eligible for the update.
After the flagship devices, the Samsung A series, including the Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A54, are expected to receive the Android 14 update. After that, the update will extend to M-series phones. Although the latest high-end models will be the first to enjoy Android Android 14, however, older flagship devices shouldn’t be too late to receive the update.
As for the timeline, we expect the One UI 6.0 update to enter the beta phase in August. With the stable release rolling out a few weeks later. Samsung usually takes about two months to complete the update process. Therefore, the first devices to receive Android 14, starting with the Galaxy S23 series, may expect to receive the update as early as October. These devices will benefit from four major Android OS updates and up to five years of security updates.
In your opinion, what is the most important feature that should be available in the Samsung One UI 6.0 update?
