Last week, Lee Young Hee, Head of Samsung DX Global Marketing Center, confirmed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in Seoul, South Korea.

Lee Yong Hee did not reveal the date of the event, but today, Samsung sent out a press note to the media, confirming that Galaxy Unpacked will be hosted in Seoul at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, as “this unique location provides the world with an opportunity to experience a captivating mix of The past, present and future that defines Seoul.”
Since its first Unpacked event in 2010 in Las Vegas, Samsung has held its Global Unpacked event in major cities around the world, including Barcelona, Berlin, London and New York. With the upcoming Unpacked event in Seoul, Samsung will change its direction towards Unpacked for foldable devices to “focus on various leading cultural cities around the world that closely align with the specific theme of each event.”
Samsung says Seoul was chosen “because of its role in influencing global trends with its dynamic culture and innovation, while also reflecting Samsung’s strong confidence in the foldable category.”
While Samsung did not reveal the name of the products it will be unveiling at this Galaxy Unpacked, it has confirmed that it will unveil its next-generation foldable devices at the event, which means Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5.
The Korean group also said that Galaxy Unpacked will take place in the last week of July, partially supporting rumors about the event taking place on July 26.
