There has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding Wear OS-powered smartwatches and whether they would be upgraded to the recently announced “total platform” that Google developed with Samsung, and is expected to arrive later this year.
Wareable reports that two of Mobvoi’s TicWatch models, Pro 3 and E3, are slated to receive the “Unified OS” update, which has also been dubbed “Wear OS 3.0”. The report is quoted as coming from a source close to the case.

WareableThe source also reported that there will be a wait before the TicWatch models are updated. While the Wear OS 3.0 update is expected to arrive in Q3 or Q4 this year with new smartwatches, TicWatches will not be updated until the end of the year in early 2022.
The report must be taken with a grain of salt, as both companies are involved in the updates: Qualcomm – which produced the vast majority of Snapdragon Wear chipsets that run Wear OS devices, and Google – which manufactures the software, are not exactly on the same page , when it comes to updating current Wear OS devices.
Previously leaked version of Samsung Galaxy Watch4
Just this week, Samsung announced that its new smartwatches are running “One UI Watch” based on the new Wear OS. It did not really announce anything new. A UI Watch integrates better with Google services and Android itself. After all, it runs Wear OS.
Samsung will officially announce the first Galaxy Watch to launch the One UI Watch later this summer, perhaps August.
