Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, is preparing to unveil the “Redmi 12” phone with 4G technology in India. Reports revealed that the company is also working on a 5G version of the device, and today, the leak SnoopyTech Post some pictures that reveal the design of this version.

Last month, Redmi revealed the Redmi Note 12R in China, which is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. After the launch, leaker Kacper Skrzypek stated that the Note 12R will be rebranded as Redmi 12 5G for the global market, including India. Additionally, the company has stated that India will receive a POCO phone called POCO M6 Pro 5G, which will also be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12R.
According to the leaked images, the leaker confirms that the phone shown in the image is a global version of the Redmi Note 12R, which means that it is the Redmi 12 5G for the global market. The design of the Redmi 12 5G is identical to the Sky Fantasy color variant of the Redmi Note 12R.
The Redmi 12 5G, which has model number 23076RN8DY, has already been approved by certification platforms such as NBTC (Thailand), IMDA (Singapore), and FCC. The Indian variant with model number 23076RN4BI has also been approved by the BIS authority in the country. Hence, the Redmi 12 5G is expected to be launched in multiple markets in the coming weeks.

Redmi 12 5G is expected to come with a 6.79-inch FHD + LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate with an aspect ratio of 20.5:9, a 5MP front camera, a 50MP dual camera (main) and a 2MP camera (macro), and the MIUI 14 operating system.
