Poco X3 Pro units in India now seeing limited rollout of MIUI 12.5 update
The Poco X3 Pro devices sold in India are now next in line to get the MIUI 12.5 update. There is already a rollout, albeit a limited one, pushing the new software to a few devices.
If no major issues are detected, a wider release will follow. According to Poco India Director Anuj Sharma, “the reason for the limited release is to monitor whether any network or app that is not part of our test case is behaving differently than intended”.
The new building, which now goes out to the lucky few, is branded MIUI 184.108.40.206.RJUINXM, and it is an 830 MB download. It includes security updates from June 2021, which are almost current and thus automatically nice to look at on a Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco phone, as they are usually quite far behind.
As with all other MIUI 12.5 updates, this one should also provide a faster feel in operation thanks to “custom device model adjustments”, instant response to movements, “20 times more reproducing power” (whatever that means) and an overall “lighter, faster and more durable “interface.
In addition, the Notes app has received a huge update with support for a gesture shortcut, snippets, dynamic layouts, mind maps with complex structures, and new tools for doodling and drawing. There are also a few bug fixes that have to do with messages and message tags.
