Fresh off Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 TENAA certification history from earlier today comes a price leak from Samsung’s home market. The Galaxy Fold3 is said to cost between KRW 1,900,000 and KRW 1,999,000 ($ 1,655 – $ 1,741), while the Z Flip3 will sell between 1,200,000 KRW and 1,280,000 KRW ($ 1,045 – $ 1,110).

The latest price information comes from a post on the South Korean forum Naver Blog and confirms previous rumors of 20% price reduction compared to the previous generation of Samsung foldable. For reference, Z Fold2’s launch price in South Korea last year was 2,398,000 KRW ($ 2,088), while Z Flip started at 1,650,000 KRW ($ 1,435).
Another interesting treat from the new report is that Samsung will actively push customers to swap their old devices in and upgrade to the new foldable ones. These benefits will further bring the price of the incoming folding phones. Current Fold and Flip owners are expected to get the best prices to upgrade. The report also mentions that Samsung sees this year’s folding duo as mass popularizing for folding form factors.
