It was recently rumored that Samsung may be working to improve charging speeds to 65 watts with the Galaxy S24 series, but today new leaks have emerged confirming the opposite.
Although many mobile phone manufacturers offer up to 240W fast chargers on their phones, Samsung is still stuck on 45W charging. We’ll show you the details of the fast charging capability revealed in a new certification.
The Galaxy S24 series’ charging speeds won’t get any improvements
The Chinese versions of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra have passed the CCC certification process in China. According to information in its certification documents, Samsung will not increase charging speeds with its upcoming flagship phones.
The Galaxy S24 (SM-S9210) features 25W (9V/2.77A) fast charging, similar to the Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S24+ (SM-S9260) and Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S9280) will be compatible with fast charging up to 45W (11V/4.05A).
Therefore, it is certain that the Galaxy S24 series will not be able to charge faster than the Galaxy S23 series. All three models in the series may charge from 0-100% in about an hour.
It has already been revealed that the Galaxy S24 has a 4,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24 Plus is powered by a 4,900 mAh battery. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will use the same 5,000 mAh battery as its predecessors.

Galaxy S24 series specifications
The Galaxy S24 series will use an Exynos 2400 processor or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor depending on the country. Only China and the United States may get the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S24, while other regions may get Exynos 2400 versions of the phones.
Samsung is expected to use OLED screens with a brightness of 2,500 nits in all Galaxy S24 models, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra may have a titanium body.
The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature OLED screens with a 120 Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution, IP68 rating, stereo speakers, 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 7 technology, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. And a USB Type-C port. They are expected to run on Android 14.
The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus may have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of primary storage, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra may have 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Or 2 TB. It may also feature two-way satellite communication for SOS emergency services.
