Samsung recently released the third One UI 6 beta update for the Galaxy S23 in some countries, and after it arrived in Germany and the United States of America, the update arrived in India. In the third One UI 6 beta update, users get more control over which apps they want to update along with installing the latest Android updates. In previous versions of One UI, Samsung would simply update all the system apps on your phone, and there was nothing you could do about it. Even if you know that the latest version of some application contains bugs, you have no way to prevent updates from occurring.

Thanks to the new user control feature in the One UI 6 update, Samsung phone users can now choose which system app will be updated when they install the new Android version.

According to one report, there is a small section in the software update section that reads: “Some apps may be updated with this software update.” Below this section, you’ll see a ‘Choose apps to update’ link, clicking on which will redirect you to a new screen.

Here you can select which application will be updated with the system update. Simply check the boxes next to the apps you want to update. Any application that is not selected must be updated manually.

Since these applications will be available on both the Play Store and… Google Play and the Galaxy Store, which have the option to update apps automatically. Apps may continue to update automatically depending on the settings you choose in the respective app stores. But this exact feature will definitely help in boosting the Android OS update process, as app updates can also be done later.
