The iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is the top-of-the-line flagship phone in the new series launched by Apple last week, is witnessing strong demand after pre-orders for the phone opened on September 15, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
This year’s iPhone 15 Pro Max model features a more advanced telephoto camera with improved optical zoom support. However, the analyst states that the production challenges of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are “more pronounced” compared to other models, even with deliveries of the top model postponed to November in some regions.
Challenges of strong demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max
Analyst Kuo mentions in a post on the site Medium The demand for the new iPhone 15 Pro Max is “strong” and higher than the iPhone 14 Pro Max that the company launched last year. Unlike its bigger brother, demand for the iPhone 15 Pro model is weaker than its predecessor and the analyst indicates that this is due to more customer interest in the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year.

Unlike the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple’s regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are seeing demand “almost on par” with the phones the company launched last year, according to Kuo. This year, Apple made some notable changes to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, including the company’s interactive Dynamic Island feature and a 48-megapixel primary camera that arrived with the iPhone 14 Pro models last year.
While demand for Apple’s iPhone models typically causes some delays in deliveries each year, the analyst notes that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is facing long delays this year. In some regions, including the United States, the top-of-the-line model is expected to be delivered to some customers in November.

Kuo claims that the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which entered mass production later than the company’s other smartphones, faces “more pronounced” production challenges compared to other models.
Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 series smartphones at its “Wonderlust” launch event on September 12, and pre-orders for all four models began three days later. The phones will go on sale in India and global markets on September 22.
