Huawei charger supports 90W wired fast charging
Recent leaks have stated that Huawei is working on a wired fast charging system with a large capacity, and the Huawei 90W charger will be a preparatory step for a larger charger in the future, according to the reliable leaker DigitalChatStation via the popular Weibo website.

The current iteration of SuperCharge is 66W and was introduced with the Huawei Mate 40 series. Also present in the new nova 8i, its large capacity battery of 4300mAh can be fully charged in 38 minutes (0-60% takes 17 Accurate).

But the question is: Does this mean that the Huawei P50 will charge 90W?
There is no guarantee that yet, CCC (China Compulsory Product Certification) has recently approved a 66W charging phone, which could be the LTE-only S888 powered P50 version. And maybe the 5G model based on the Kirin 9000 will be faster?
It may be, because (according to rumors) there will be no Mate 50 series this year, so the P50 may be the only high-end Huawei launch left for 2021. The P50 series is expected to be unveiled on July 29, although This information is still awaiting official confirmation.

Huawei 90W charger is just a preliminary step for what’s to come
During the launch of the Mate 40, Huawei Consumer Business CEO Richard Yu claimed that the company had tested 120W and even 200W charging, but decided not to launch it due to battery capacity concerns.
The company recently got certification for a 135W charger as well, so 90W would be just an intermediate step.
