The Redmi Note 7 Pro was the first Redmi Note series phones to be launched after Redmi became an independent brand. It is also the brand’s first 48MP camera smartphone.
The popular device has now started receiving the MIUI 12.5 update, as the company has done with several phones previously. MIUI 12.5 is the latest version of the mobile operating system Xiaomi.
It’s a minor upgrade for devices already running MIUI 12, and the company has been rolling out this update to eligible phones over the past few months. And now the latest smartphone to receive the MIUI 12.5 update is the popular Redmi Note 7 Pro.
The update is currently in China with the version number V220.127.116.11.QFHCNXM, waiting to reach the rest of the regions, and the program version is being released in batches as usual, and it is assumed that all users will receive it in the coming days, regardless of China.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro was only launched in India however the Indian version is yet to get this update. However, it should also be updated very soon.
Unfortunately, MIUI 12.5 update still does not bring Android 11 OS upgrade. Normally, Redmi Note series gets two Android updates. Thus, it is sad to know that the Redmi Note 7 Pro may not get this privilege.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro debuted with MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie, and so far the phone has received one Android update (Android 10) and two updates to the MIUI user interface (MIUI 11, MIUI 12). Also, according to reliable guidelines, it could be updated to MIUI 13 in the future.

And speaking of power: The phone comes with a large non-removable lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, and it supports 18W fast charging.
The phone also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth version 5.0, A2DP, LE, FM radio and GPS technology, and has a USB Type-C 2.0 charging port, and does not support NFC technology.
