Samsung Galaxy Buds2 and Watch4 leak through a Galaxy Wearable app update

Samsung launches an update to the Galaxy Wearable app with an empty changelog – or rather an edited one. This version of the app adds support for Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic as well as Galaxy Buds2. Of course, Samsung does not want you to know yet.

As part of the update, the app can now display images of Buds2 in all five colors. The app confirms that Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is supported, although it seems to be a more basic version compared to Galaxy Buds Pro, as the ANC levels (low and high) are missing. 360 Audio is also missing. This could just be an oversight in the app of course as Buds2 support seems to be in beta.

In any case, the app reports that each bud has a 61 mAh battery, while the case has a 472 mAh battery. These are exactly the same numbers as Buds Pro, so you can expect a similar battery life (20 hours total listening time with ANC on, 28 hours with it off).

Unfortunately, the app does not reveal much about the Galaxy Watch4 pair. Not that there’s much left to reveal – Amazon Canada did most of the work, plus we have some details on the performance improvements of the Exynos 920 chipset that get the watches running (it will be plugged in to double the stock to boot).
