Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G and Z Fold3 5G will be IPX8 rated
Yet another insider report points out that the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G are waterproof. According to Max Weinbach, the pair will be IPX8 rated.
This means that they are able to withstand water depths of more than 1 meter for over 30 minutes.

If true, and it looks like that, the pair will be the first waterproof foldable in the world. Yet dust can also be a path for foldable and especially their hinges, so it may prove more important for them to have dust protection than water. It’s unclear if they’re missing it, or tipster just does not have information about it at this time.
Foldable has a flexible screen and a hinge, both of which move and make the sealing of the device harder than your regular baffle phone. The constant addition of water protection is hugely impressive on Samsung’s part.
