The Samsung 65W charger has been spotted in many leaks recently, and now it is getting a new certificate that reveals its specifications, along with many other details, most notably Samsung devices that will support working with this fast charger.
Samsung 65W charger gets new certification
Now Samsung’s 65W charger has another official certification, this time with the permission of the Danish UL (Demko). This new certification pretty much confirms all of its specifications, already listed by other sources. Not surprisingly, the Samsung charger uses USB Power Delivery, along with the optional PPS specification and can deliver 65 watts at 20 standard volts of power and 3.25 amps.
In addition, the unit can also output 5V, 9V and 15V, which means it fits the general PD standard and is a versatile charger, and can be easily used for other devices, including some laptops.
last we heard itThe company is testing a 65W Samsung charger on the Galaxy S22 family of devices, and it is expected to do so as early as 2022 on all three models. Also, there is still hope to see Samsung’s 65W charger technology debut on the Galaxy Z Fold3 at the upcoming August 11 Unpacked event. It’s worth noting, though, that leaks have already indicated that the Z Flip3, will likely stick to a 15W charge.
