Leaks recently revealed that Xiaomi is currently developing a new smart bracelet, called the Xiaomi Mi Band X, after a picture of a Xiaomi employee wearing the bracelet on her wrist appeared during an internal company meeting. However, the existence of this bracelet has not been officially confirmed.
The Xiaomi Mi Band series is one of the most popular Xiaomi wearable products. There are a large number of affordable products that fall into this series today. However, a new rumor indicated that the company is preparing to bring a high-end device to the well-received series of fitness trackers.
Is Xiaomi already developing a Mi Band X smart bracelet?
A leaker on the popular Chinese website Weibo first mentioned that the new Xiaomi fitness band will bear the nickname Mi Band X, and mentioned that the wearable device will come with a flexible 360-degree screen that wraps around the wearer’s wrist. Also, well-known leaker Equal Leaks shared photos via Twitter of the company’s PPT presentation during a discussion about the Xiaomi Mi Band X.

However, Wang Hua from Xiaomi Group’s PR department revealed that these rumors are completely untrue. According to him, the PPT offer is real, but Xiaomi does not work on any product that matches the description of the Xiaomi Mi Band X, which means that this bracelet is not a real product.
The leaker Equal Leaks was mentioned in his tweet The Mi Band X will come in a very thin bezel. Moreover, the wearable will be light and will have a magnetic bracelet clasp. He also said that the external design of the Mi Band X will not bear even a slight resemblance to any of the previously launched fitness bands from Xiaomi. However, Mi Band 6 is set to hit stores in India soon.
