Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 has its full spec list leaked along with new renders
A few hours ago, an extensive leak gave us all the details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold3, and now it’s time for exactly the same thing to happen with the second foldable smartphone the company plans to unveil at its event on August 11 – Galaxy Z Flip3. With this speed, we are not sure that the event itself serves any purpose other than to make some promo videos.
Anyway, let’s dive right in. The Galaxy Z Flip3 runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top, though Google is likely to release Android 12 to its pixels within days or weeks of Flip’s announcement. This is how it goes with Samsung’s revelations in August.
The phone has a 6.7 inch internal screen with 1080×2640 resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate as well as a 1.9 inch 260×512 external screen. The glass ‘back’, which folds in the middle, is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus.
The show runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage. The main camera system consists of a 12 MP f / 1.8 main sensor with OIS and a 12 MP f / 2.2 fixed focus ultrawid. On the inside screen there is a 10 MP f / 2.4 hole selfie camera.
The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IPx8 rating for water resistance (but not dust), dual-SIM support via a nanoSIM and an eSIM and a 3,300 mAh battery. The device measures 166 x 72.2 x 6.9 mm when opened and weighs 183 g.
It is expected to start at € 1,099 in the eurozone and possibly $ 1,099 in the US. It is offered in color versions of Phantom Black, Cream and Lavender. Samsung has tested the hinge mechanism 200,000 times, which means you should feel good for more than five years of opening and closing it 100 times a day.
