The latest reports revealed that the number of users of the new HarmonyOS system is constantly increasing, as statistics revealed that the number of update installations since August 6 so far has reached more than 50 million users.
Since July 29, the number of active users of the HarmonyOS 2 update has been just over 40 million. This means that in about a week, the system had an additional 10 million users.
Huawei’s plan to roll out the Harmony OS update
according to SourceHuawei Consumer Business Division CEO Yu Chengdong promised that in the near future the update will be rolled out for the Huawei Mate 9, P10 and other models. However, the company is now looking to have more users join the new era of the Internet of Things (IoT).
After Huawei officially announced HarmonyOS on June 2, it also launched the biggest update plan in its history. The company also announced that it will upgrade HarmonyOS for more than 100 devices before the second half of next year.

These devices will include Huawei and Honor smartphones, tablets, smart screens, and more. Moreover, the company plans to roll out this system to more than 300 million devices by the end of the year. Its table shows that of that number, 200 million will be its own devices, and 100 million will belong to other companies.

Last week, the fourth batch of Honor and Huawei devices started getting HarmonyOS. The list contains 14 smartphones that are currently getting the internal beta of the HarmonyOS update. Devices currently getting the update include:

- Huawei-P20 Pro
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro
- Huawei nova 5i
- Huawei-Mate 10 Porsche Design
- Huawei nova 4
- Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design
- Huawei-nova 4e
- Honor X10
- Honor 30S
- Honor-X10 Max
- Honor 30 Youth Edition
- Honor Play4
There are still many questions about the launch date of Harmony OS for Huawei phones globally. However, Huawei is expected to start rolling out Harmony OS to global Huawei devices in December 2021. However, the launch schedule may be more clear with the launch of the Huawei P50 series on July 29 but that is confirmed as of now.
