Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra launched in India with 11th Gen Intel CPU and 65W charging
Xiaomi announced the RedmiBook 15 series of laptops in India earlier this month, and today the company introduced the more premium Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra. These come with very similar bodies, but the latter are more expensive and pack more powerful interior parts.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Ultra
Let’s first talk about the Mi Notebook Ultra. It is powered by Intel’s 11th generation Core i7-11370H processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.8 GHz, but you also have the option to buy the one that comes with the same generation i5-11300H CPU, which goes up to 4.4 GHz.
Both models come with Intel’s Iris Xe graphics to handle graphically intensive tasks. However, the i7 variant comes with a single 16 GB RAM option, while the i5 version is also offered with 8 GB RAM. Although the amount of RAM is different, the storage remains the same on all devices – 512 GB NVMe SSD.

Mi Notebook Ultra is 17.9 mm thin, weighs 1.7 kg and is made of 6-series aluminum in aviation. The notebook features a 15.6 “3,200×2,000-pixel Mi TrueLife + 16:10 aspect ratio screen and a 90Hz screen refresh rate. It also supports DC attenuation to reduce eye fatigue, and Xiaomi claims the TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light -protection filters blue light without affecting the color accuracy of the screen.
The Mi Notebook Ultra features a full-size keyboard with 3-level backlighting and comes with a 70Whr battery advertised to offer more than 12 hours of endurance. And you can charge it with the included 65W charger, which can fill the cell up to 50% in 45 minutes.
For connectivity, the Mi Notebook supports Ultra Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and has a total of five ports on board-1x Type-C, 1x Thunderbolt 4, 1x Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1x Type-A USB 2.0, and 1x HDMI.
The rest of the Mi Notebook Ultra’s highlights include a fingerprint reader embedded in the power button, HD webcam, 3.5mm combi jack, built-in microphone and two 2W stereo speakers with DTS Audio support.
Mi Notebook Ultra comes pre-installed with MS Office Home and Student Edition 2019 and runs Windows 10 Home out of the box. Although it gets a free upgrade to Windows 11 when the operating system is available.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro
Mi Notebook Pro is made of the same material as Mi Notebook Ultra’s, but it is thinner (17.3 mm) and lighter (1.46 kg) than the Ultra variant. This is because the Pro model is built around a smaller 14 “TrueLife screen with a resolution of 2,560×1,600 pixels. Like the Ultra, the Pro variant’s screen also has a 16:10 format, but the refresh rate is max. At 60Hz and the pixel density is down to 215ppi.
The Mi Notebook Pro also comes with a smaller battery (56Whr) that is claimed to last an hour less than Ultra’s cell and goes from flat to 50% in 34 minutes.
Another difference between the two laptops is in the keyboard compartment. The Mi Notebook Ultra’s keyboard has a keyboard spacing of 1.5 mm, while the Pro version keyboard has a 1.3 mm keyboard spacing.
The rest of the features on the Mi Notebook Pro remain the same as the Mi Notebook Ultra’s.
