Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to support 45W charging

0 2

The Galaxy S20 Ultra, launched last year, came with 45W wired charging, but Samsung downgraded the charging speed to 25W with the S21 Ultra this year. The latest rumor, however, claims that the Korean conglomerate will switch to previous speeds with the S22 Ultra next year.

The word comes from reliable tipster Isunivers, who said that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is 100% confirmed to have 45W (10V / 4.5A) charging.

Although the source did not reveal if the S22 Ultra comes with a 45W adapter, chances are you will have to pay extra money to get these speeds. It is also unclear whether other models in the S22 series will have 45W charging or only go up to 25W like their predecessors.

Speaking of battery capacity, 3C certifications suggest that the Plus variant will have a 4500 mAh cell under the hood, while the Ultra model will pack a 5,000 mAh battery.

We are still a few months away from the unveiling of the Galaxy S22 series, but you can expect more information about smartphones to emerge in the course of the official announcement.
