Ice Universe: the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a built-in S Pen
The Galaxy Note series is dead, long live … Galaxy S22 Ultra? Lækster Isunivers has been told by two independent sources that the new S-Series flagship will have a place for the pen.
The S21 Ultra was the first non-Note phone to support the S Pen, but having to use a special case just to have a place to place the pen was not ideal. The new Ultra reportedly solves just this headache, but it will require some design changes.
To begin with, the screen will have a 19.3: 9 aspect ratio that matches the Galaxy Note20 Ultra (the S21 phones all have 20: 9 screens). This means that the phone will be wider and will probably make room for the pen. The corners of the device will also be less rounded than the S21 series, but it is as square as the notes.
Galaxy Note20 Ultra has a more angular design than S21 Ultra
Despite the fact that there should be room for a stylus within the frame of the phone, Ice writes that the battery capacity will be 5,000 mAh (500 mAh more than the Note20 Ultra and a match for the S21 Ultra).
We have not yet seen credible reproductions of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra that can confirm the built-in S Pen history. Of course, the S22 launch is months away (likely to happen in January 2022), so reliable information is hard to find.
