The Realme 8 series brings improvements over their predecessors in several categories, but the star of the show is undoubtedly the Pro model. We have already spent some time with Realme 8 Pro to gather some quick thoughts and give you our key feature video.
For a midrange device, the Realme 8 Pro brings a compelling design. The textured back is easy to grip and its gradient paint job alternates between different shades of blue. The Dare to Leap logo is another interesting touch, and it shines even in the dark. While we’re here, let’s talk about the phone’s biggest selling point – its 108MP main camera.
This is Samsung’s 1 / 1.52 “ISOCELL HM2 sensor that boasts 0.7 μm pixel size and Super-PD autofocus. You can take 3x zoomed images that come out of merging eight 12MP photos in quick succession. Realme also brings several interesting additions, including astrophotography time-lapse videos, tilt-shift-time-lapse photos and videos, as well as multiple portrait filters.Rounding the camera section is an 8MP ultra-wide snapper and two 2MP modules for macro shots and depth data.
The 8 Pro also includes a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 720G sits at the helm, while the software front is covered by Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11. The battery comes in at 4,500 mAh battery and is paired with 50 W Dart charging.
