Apple will hold a new event this month
Apple’s event will take place on October 18, and according to the invitations I sent out today, the company is widely expected to use its event to launch a pair of new MacBooks, a high-quality redesigned Mac Mini, and possibly a pair of third-generation AirPods.

Video the invitation For an Apple event where the phrase “Unleash,” as indicated in a tweet from Greg Joswiak, which appears in a dotted line that could hint at mini LED technology, the “Special” event will be streamed live on Apple.com at 1 PM EST. United States / 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
There have been reports for months that Apple is about to launch new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. The new MacBooks will be the latest step in the company’s move away from Intel processors, in favor of the M1X processor that Apple designs itself.

The new processor can boost performance compared to the M1 that debuted last year, with Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman reporting that the M1X has ten CPU cores compared to eight for the previous generation, as well as graphics processors with 16 or 32 threads compared to seven or eight in M1.
Other expected features include the return of users’ favorite MacBook features such as MagSafe magnetic charging, an HDMI port, and an SD card slot.

Leaks suggest that the same M1X processor will appear in the redesigned high-end Mac Mini and the new machine is said to have more ports than last year’s M1 model, with two Thunderbolt/USB 4 Type-C ports and two USB Type-A ports. The new Mac Mini is more suitable for professional users.

Apple may announce a pair of redesigned AirPods, which represent the third generation of the company’s original wireless earbuds. The AirPods are expected to adopt a design similar to AirPods Pro, with shorter stems and a redesigned charging case.
