According to a famous Weibo tipster Digital chat station, Xiaomi is preparing to launch its 11T smartphone as the Redmi K40s in China with a noticeable upgrade – significantly faster charging. A 3C certification confirms the rumor.
As you can see, the device with the code name K16 supports charging speeds of 33W, 67W and 120W. The same Dimensity 1200 turns on the handset and the same flat 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED panel sits on the front. And aside from the charging, the K40s will get Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers like the international 11T Pro.
Another interesting bit about the report is that Xiaomi is making a third member of the K40 family ready to play between the K40s and the K40 Pro +, as the latter is the 11T Pro for the international market. The “Midranger” in the series will be a brand new phone running on the Snapdragon 870 SoC.
