It’s a brilliant day for Apple fans waiting for updates on iPhone 13, which is expected to arrive by the end of this year according to Apple tradition. The people at MySmartPrice and 91Mobiles have obtained alleged CAD reproductions of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, showing their respective designs in full.

The iPhone 13 could have a smaller notch and a diagonal camera

The design of the iPhone 13 remains pretty much the same, per. These renderings, with a classic iPhone 4 and iPhone X amalgam. The 6.1-inch screen on all monitors is identical to the latest models, although Apple is making changes in the notch.

The three Face ID sensors (infrared camera, floodlight and dot projector) are placed next to each other with the forward-facing camera sitting next to each other. The earplug, on the other hand, has been moved to edge of the frame.

This more compact setup means it Apple’s notch can shrink, and that’s exactly what the company has done. These reproductions show a slightly smaller notch that is consistent with what is seen on recently leaked glass panels and all the rumors.

It’s a subtle change, but after four generations of the same notch, it is not denied that it is a welcome change. According to reports, it may also be the first step towards removing the notch completely – analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects Apple to adopt a hole in 2022 and a under-display Face ID setup in 2023.

The back of the iPhone 13 still has four cutouts – two for the cameras, one for the LED flash and one for the ANC microphone – but the cameras are now aligned diagonally. There is no evidence of innovative additions like Apple’s LiDAR sensors – that one should be a reserve for the Pro models.

iPhone 13 Pro adds the smaller notch, but keeps the same camera

When we talk about the iPhone 13 Pro, the phone’s camera system remains largely unchanged from a visual change. The renderings suggest that Apple will again offer three cameras, a flash and a microphone inside a square bump. However, sensors and bumps have grown in size and now fit the system better iPhone 12 Pro Max.

In particular, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is rumored to have a bigger and better main camera sensor than the rest of this year’s series, though the entire iPhone 13 line will reportedly boast a f/1.8 aperture in their ultra-wide cameras compared to the iPhone 12s f/2.4, so these may end up being some of the best camera phones around.

It is combined with the updated notch, which in itself is rumored to sit on top of a 120Hz ProMotion screen that draws less power. The iPhone 13 Pro screen will look remarkable 15-20% decrease in power consumption, where the unit as a whole uses 15% less battery according to DigiTimes.

More rumors about iPhone 13 Pro specifications

We’ve had many leaks and well-educated guesses about what the impending iPhone flagship may contain for a while now. There is a strong possibility that we may see Touch ID come back below the screen – although nothing is official until September.
We also know for sure that the iPhone 13 5G series will have a 5-nanometer A15 Bionic chip, which will go into production next month and probably also have power for next year OLED iPad Air.
