Redmi K50 specifications and launch date for gaming phones within the series

Reports last week revealed the model numbers of the Xiaomi 12 and Redmi K50 series phones. A few days later, more details emerged about two of these devices. Xiaomiui has shed light on two Xiaomi smartphones, codenamed Matisse and Rubens.

These devices also bear the shortened model numbers L10 and L11A respectively and now new information about them has been found in the MIUI code and IMEI database.

Xiaomi Matisse (L10) could be a Redmi K50

Xiaomi Matisse will be launched with three models in China, Global and India, this is based on its model numbers 21121210C, 21121210G and 21121210I registered in the IMEI database.

It will be sold in China under the Redmi brand, while in other markets it will flaunt the POCO brand. Since the first four digits of the Xioami device model numbers indicate the year and month of its release, this phone may debut in December 2012. However, it revealed Xiaomiui The company may not be able to release it in time because the phone software is still under development.

As for the specifications, the smartphone is said to be powered by the recently unveiled Dimensity 9000 SoC from MediaTek. It is expected to feature an OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz or 144Hz with a combination of Goodix fingerprint sensors and an in-display FPC.

For photography and video, the phone will have four cameras on the back, including a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main camera, a 13-megapixel OmniVision OV13B10 wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08856 camera, and a 2-megapixel GalaxyCore GC02M1 depth camera. There is also a variant of this phone with a 108MP main camera from Samsung ISOCELL HM2.

The phone is expected to become official as Redmi K50 Gaming or Redmi K50 Gaming Pro in China and POCO F4 GT in other markets.

Xiaomi Rubens (L11A) phone

Xiaomi Rubens currently only comes in the “China” model with the number 22041211AC, so it comes as no surprise that the smartphone features the Redmi branding in its home country.

Xiaomiui says that this device could go official as Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition. That’s because the Chinese Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, sold as the POCO X3 GT in international markets, was initially called the Redmi K40 Gaming Standard Edition in the development stage.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G Redmi K40 Gaming also works with processors of the same type, namely Dimensity 1100 and Dimensity 1200 in particular. Similarly, the Xiaomi Rubens is said to be powered by the unannounced Dimensity 7000 processor, which is rumored to be a watered down version of the Dimensity 9000 expected to appear inside the Xiaomi Matisse phone.

Not much has been revealed about the specifications of this phone, except that it will have triple rear cameras. It will include a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 primary camera. According to its model number, the smartphone is scheduled to go official in April 2022.
