Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ cameras detailed: 50MP main, 10MP 3x telephoto
The camera modules in the Samsung Galaxy S22 series have been a frequent topic for leaks, where the specifications of the rumors have been refined over time. Most of the attention was on the S22 Ultra setup, but today it heals Isunivers detailed cameras vanilla and plus models, both of which will use the same hardware.
Starting with the 50 MP sensor in the main camera, a 1 / 1.57 ”sensor with 1.0 pixelsm pixels and an f / 1.8 aperture. This sounds like the Samsung GN5 and Sony IMX766 sensors (Samsung likes to dual source the camera sensors). In comparison, the main camera of 12 MP on S21 and S21 + has a 1 / 1.76 ”sensor with 1.8 pixelsm pixels. Of course, the S22 series will use pixel binding, so at 12.5 MP resolution, the effective pixel size will be 2.0 µm.
The camcorder switches from the current lossless digital zoom access to a more traditional 3x magnification (f / 2.4 aperture) optical zoom. This will be a 10MP sensor with a 1 / 3.94 “optical format and 1.0µm pixels.

Along with them will be a 12 MP sensor for the ultra-wide camera – 1 / 2.55 “in size with 1.4 pixelsm pixels and an f / 2.2 aperture. This is pretty much the same as on the S21 series. The selfie camera will also be the same as on the S21 / S21 +, which means a 10MP sensor (1 / 3.24 ”, 1.22µm) with an f / 2.2 aperture.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra camera was described in a previous leak. In short, 108 MP main camera (enhanced HM3 sensor), 12 MP ultra-wide, 10 MP 10x periscope and 10 MP 3x telephoto module (apparently different from S22 / S22 +). The selfie camera is rumored to have a resolution of 40 MP, just like for the two previous Ultras.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 will have a 6.06 “screen, the S22 + screen measures 6.55”, according to Cat. You can see a size comparison of screen protectors for them here. The two should have flat screens, while the one on the Ultra is expected to be curved.
