According to the information, Huawei has completed HarmonyOS rollout for more than 100 models of various products including Huawei Mate 40, Mate 30, Mate 20, Mate 10, P40, P30 and P20 series. The update not only includes new hardware, but it has also been rolled out to some older flagship phones including the Mate 9 and P10.

The company also released the update system HarmonyOS on Honor-branded products, which are models that were launched before the massive split between the two companies in November last year. However, it seems that Huawei has picked up some additional models which are still in beta activity and will receive the final version very soon.

It is worth noting that Huawei launched HarmonyOS 2.0 on June 2, 2021, which is the first operating system designed for smartphones, especially for Huawei devices. However, it was later announced as an open source system.

In terms of features, HarmonyOS 2.0 comes with an all-new user interface, gravity-based animation effects, and better icons designed to enhance the overall user experience. On the other hand, you will get new features like app shortcuts, control panel, service tools, and more.

Backward compatibility of Harmony OS 2.0 is a huge plus that is very interesting among consumers. Therefore, consumers of older Huawei smartphones want to upgrade via the latest operating system, further enhance its reach, and contribute to faster installations.

Huawei also revealed that Harmony OS 2.0 was installed on more than 150 million devices about a month ago, and the company expects that number to reach 200 million by the end of this year.

However, the company did not reveal its plan to roll out the update to the global market. Meanwhile, a senior official from the company said that the Harmony OS mobile operating system could arrive in 2022 for global consumers.
