For the next, highly anticipated version of Android, Google is preparing to open the tab not only on new features, but also on a long-delayed interface polishing. After new Android 12 interface leaked recently, Google went and introduced Android 12 to devs just within the time frame we imagined, and is likely to showcase a public beta at its I / O event this spring. Google released Android versions 7 to 9 on Monday during the hot summer month of August, then moved the launch to the first Tuesday in September for Android 10 and the current Android 11 will release them on September 3rd and September 8th, respectively. In this mindset, the Android 12 release date for manufacturers should be September 2, as Google itself gives August as the last Android 12 stable beta release time frame.

Needless to say, Google already has a developer preview of its latest mobile operating system release, where most of the new features will be ready for testing and unveiled to the public later this spring. Last year, the Android 11 developer preview was out on Wednesday, February 19th, while Preview of Android 12 dev was released to developers on February 18th.
How to install the new Android 12 developer version of beta
1. Download the Android 12 images to Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 4, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 3, or Pixel 3 XL.
2. Release and install the Android 12 update on your Pixel phone, it will be updated with new beta after release.
3. You can always return to a stable Android 11 image when you finish previewing Android 12.

Split screen and rich content insertion features in Android 12
A new rich content insertion feature lets you seamlessly copy plain and styled text for selection, images, videos, audio files and others from one app to another, whether the source is the clipboard, keyboard or simple drag and drop between split screen apps UI.
Google is also working on a split-screen mode system-level dishwashing for Android 12. This gives Android users a better and more intuitive multitasking experience. Instead of opening an app and then enabling split-screen mode for that app via the Recent view, users will be able to group two apps into “tasks” and then quickly launch those pairs or switch between a few apps and a single app.
Android 12 will also let people easily “pair” two apps right from the latest view. When you use such a pair, the dividing line between the two apps also gets a bonus feature. Dragging the divider still resizes both apps, but when you double-click it, the two active apps quickly switch positions.

Google’s design concept revealed that there will be a new user interface for notifications in Android 12, replacing the current transparent look with a light beige opaque. The color may change if dark mode is activated. the rounded corners of each message are easier to see and there are now ways for developers to play around with background blur.

Google reduced the number of quick setting icons to four from six, and these appear when the Notifications panel expands. The icons are larger than usual due to the fewer number of icons used. The positions of the date and the clock have been changed at the front of the display, and there are new privacy indicators in the upper right corner. Touching these icons tells you exactly which apps are using the microphone and camera on your handset. A “Sensors off” icon in quick settings allows the user to close and deactivate all sensors on his or her phone with a single touch; The Developer Settings menu must be enabled to see this icon.
