Last month, vivo launched its first phone with a 6,000 mAh battery – the Y55s 5G and now a similar spec’d device came to Taiwan, albeit with a slightly smaller 5,000 mAh cell. The vivo Y55 5G packs the same 6.58-inch punch-hole LCD with FHD + resolution as its “s” sibling and an 8MP selfie camera.
Around the back, the phone brings a 50MP primary slider along with two 2MP modules for macro images and depth data. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 sits at the helm along with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. The software side is covered by Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11 and the 5,000 mAh battery is charged via USB-C at 18W speeds.

The Vivo Y55 5G comes in black and blue colors and is listed at NTD 7,990 ($ 290). International availability was not yet detailed.
