Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is preparing to launch the Redmi K50 series next month. Despite the approaching launch date, leaks and rumors did not stop appearing on the Internet, as more specifications of the series have now been leaked in China.

The famous leaker Panda is Bald revealed in a post on the famous Chinese site “WeiboThe Redmi K50 series is coming with the Sony IMX766 imaging sensor as the main camera sensor, which is the same sensor found in many well-known brands such as Xiaomi 12, Realme GT 2 Pro and Oppo Find X3 Pro.

However, the post did not specify which phone is getting the sensor, but previous leaks indicate that it will be used in the Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50 Pro Plus, or both.

According to previous leaks, the Redmi K50 Pro is also said to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED+Full HD display with 120Hz refresh rate, 4,700mAh battery, and 120W charging capacity.

Xiaomi also officially confirmed that one of its phones from the Redmi K50 series will be powered by the new flagship Dimensity 9000 processor from MediaTek, which is based on TSMC’s industry-leading 4nm process. According to Geekbench 5 platform tests, the Dimensity 9000 is on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and can outperform it in many challenging scenarios as well.
