Apple Support has officially confirmed that the iPhone 13 series lacks call noise cancellation, a feature that’s been available on previous iPhones for more than a decade.

One user shared a conversation he had with Apple Support on Twitter. According to him, “After working with Apple and a senior consultant for months who said waiting for an update to fix the issue, I received an update regarding the issue, and apparently, it will not be fixed and noise canceling has been intentionally disabled for unspecified reasons.”

One user also stated that “iPhone 13 never had this option with iOS 15, I’ve been talking to Apple Support about this, it’s a known issue they’re working on with no timeline for it right now.”

This issue also leads to issues with echo on CarPlay when talking between iPhone 13 devices, and it is unclear why the company decided to remove this functionality and why it is not planning to add it again.
