Samsung Galaxy A53 5G gets certified with 15W charger

The Galaxy A5x series model du jour has consistently been Samsung’s best-selling device year after year, and we have no reason to doubt that the situation is similar to that of 2022 with the upcoming Galaxy A53 5G. We have already seen this phone in some speculative renderings and a prototype was seen in a benchmark database revealing some of its specifications.

Now it has been certified by 3C along with its charger – a 15W device. Pretty disappointing, this means that Samsung’s best-selling device will not get a proper fast-charging experience out of the box in 2022. Maybe next year. Hopefully next year, as virtually all of its competitors are delivering faster chargers.

Last year’s Galaxy A52, A52 5G and A52s 5G all supported 25W charging but only had a 15W charger in the box. There is no reason to believe that the situation will be different this year. So you at least have the option of faster charging, but not including a 25W charger in the box just seems petty on Samsung’s part at this point.

Regardless of previous leaks and rumors, the Galaxy A53 5G comes with Exynos 1200 SoC, 6 GB RAM, Android 12 on board from day one, a 120 Hz AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution, a fingerprint sensor on the screen and a quad rear camera setup.
