Sony responds to Microsoft and acquires Bungie at this price
Sony has officially confirmed its acquisition of Bungie, as this deal comes weeks after Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard in a historic deal.
Details of Sony’s acquisition of Bungie
She said Sony Corporation Bungie will continue to operate independently, and according to the statement, Sony will acquire Bungie, Inc. for $3.6 billion, in response to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard in a $68.7 billion deal.
It should be noted that Bungie studio collaborates exclusively with Microsoft and Xbox in particular in the Halo series, which was a huge success on Xbox, and today the studio is affiliated with Sony.

“Bungie has created and continues to develop some of the world’s most beloved video games, and by aligning its values with people’s desire to share gaming experiences, it brings together millions of people around the world,” said Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman, President and CEO.
Destiny 2 has been one of Bungie’s most successful games as the game continues to grow exponentially, as Bungie was able to build on a strong foundation at launch with routine updates and expansions that helped the game evolve in its current form and compete with other games.
