Xiaomi’s naming system for its devices and those of the brand Redmi has been more and more confusing over the last few years, and if you thought it could not be even more, take yourself.
The one thing missing from these names was the year, but that will soon change because the company has just pulled an upcoming device called the Redmi Note 8 2021.
That # RedmiNote8 has now sold 25 million units globally!

This comes as the original Redmi Note 8, launched back in 2019, has managed to sell more than 25 million units globally. To celebrate this milestone, we will soon be introduced to the Redmi Note 8 2021.
If you’re wondering what to expect from this new phone, some leaks from about a week ago claim that it will run MIUI 12.5, have a 4,000 mAh battery and the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset at the helm with 22.5 W charging and a quad rear camera setup with a 48 MP main sensor.
The original had the same battery size, but was powered by the Snapdragon 665. It is rumored that the new version will only be available in select markets, EU and Russia among them. More details are likely on the way, so stay tuned.
