The handset is confirmed to run on the MediaTek G85 platform along with a 4,000 mAh battery and shipped with MIUI 12.5 out of the box. 2019 Redmi Note 8 was launched with Snapdragon 665 and immediately 4,000 mAh battery.

Additional Redmi Note 8 2021 details
In addition, a number @Xiaomiui tweets back up the theory and contribute a bit more detail such as 22.5W fast charging (an upgrade over 18W on the current note 8) and a quad camera setup with 48MP main shooter is expected. Storage will go up to 128 GB.
So far, rumors suggest that the handset will be available in select markets, including EU and Russian. And maybe the rest of the specs will not differ too much from the original Redmi Note 8.
