Samsung will ditch the Tizen and replace it with the Wear OS for the Galaxy Watch4 generation according to a constantly growing pile of leaks and rumors. However, the change may mainly be on the inside – the Google software will reportedly be ripped with On UI 3.x, making the interface look like the current Galaxy Watch.
Samsung is also transferring the SmartThings features that current watchmakers are used to. There will also be new features, including a walkie-talkie feature that allows you to send short voicemails (Apple rolled out a similar feature with watchOS 5). The blood sugar sensor is unlikely to happen.
Samsung Galaxy Watch3 and Samsung Gear Sport
Three models are on the way. One (codenamed ‘Wise’) will look like a classic dress watch and have a rotating frame. Last week we heard that this one comes in two sizes, 42 mm and 46 mm.
The other two (‘Fresh’ and ‘Lucky’) will be sporty, probably including a new Galaxy Watch Active model (these tend to omit the frame). They should also be available in two sizes, but they will be smaller – 40 mm and 42 mm.
Earlier Isunivers plagued that the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch Active4 will be announced in Q2, but have not posted any updates on the matter. The announcement can be made at the unpacked event that brings the next generation of Samsung folders, which is expected in July (the first month of Q3).
